ARM Group welcomes Alex Maughan as a Staff Engineer at our Pittsburgh Office!
Alex is a recent graduate from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and holds an ACI Certification. While at the University of Pittsburgh, she completed two internships with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), assisting with concrete testing and inspections to include highway and bridge construction, guide rails, drainage pipes, and shoulders as part of the Systematic Technique to Analyze and Manage Pennsylvania’s Pavements (STAMPP) program. Over the course of several summers, Alex took the opportunity to work with her family business, installing underground petroleum tanks, taking warehouse inventory, and assisting with various other business tasks. This experience provided her with knowledge of construction projects and a good baseline of the safety precautions needed. Alex enjoys fishing, walking her dogs, and recently competed in a competition to make a functional canoe out of concrete.
Given her educational background, work experience, and enjoyment for working outdoors to better the environment, Alex will be a great asset to our Pittsburgh Team!
