ARM Proudly Sponsors the 27th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Penn State Golf Tournament

State College, PA – May 24, 2024 – ARM is excited to sponsor the annual Coaches vs. Cancer (CVC) Golf Tournament, hosted by CVC-Penn State on May 30th and 31st. CVC-Penn State is a collaborative program between the Penn State Men’s Basketball team and the American Cancer Society (ACS), directed by ARM’s VP Wendy Pelky. This year marks the 27th anniversary for this high-class, highly anticipated event. To date, CVC has raised more than $4.2 million for the ACS, $690,000 of which has been granted to the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund and distributed directly to cancer patients in the Centre Region. For the past 17 years, ARM employees and business partners have golfed in and volunteered at this annual tournament in support of the local fight against cancer.

The two-day event begins Thursday night with a Sponsor/Captain Welcome Reception at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, featuring high-end hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and the conclusion of an online auction, which will raise additional funding. Not only is this reception the highlight of the 2-day golf tournament, but it truly is the must-attend Spring Gala in the region. ARM is proud to once again be the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Sponsor/Captain Welcome Reception.

On Friday, ARM and its distinguished guests will be among more than 400 golfers swinging clubs in support of the annual cancer fight during the five-man 18-hole scramble tournament at the Penn State Blue and White Golf Courses. An awards dinner at Beaver Stadium will cap off the tournament events.

CVC-Penn State’s year-round fundraising efforts assist in providing life-saving patient services to cancer victims in State College and surrounding Central Pennsylvania areas, as well as fund local and national cancer research.
