Soil & Rock Characterization

ARM completed a series of Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) seismic surveys and Electrical Resistivity (ER) surveys for a mining client in support of a quarry expansion project.

Project Highlights

From this geophysical dataset, ARM identified both the overlying soil and the client’s targeted bedrock formation.
ARM additionally provided the client with valuable information concerning the quality of the rock.
ARM allowed the client to save time and money by targeting specific areas of interest for further exploration, rather than utilizing the more common and expensive practice of site-wide drilling and rock coring.
