
ARM Group welcomes Gordon Lauffer, E.I.T as a Staff Engineer within the Geotechnical Engineering Practice area based out of our Hershey, PA Office.
Gordon graduated from the Capital College at Penn State University’s with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in December 2020 and holds his Engineer in Training certification. While at Penn State, he completed 3 internships: one with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) working in the bridge design and technology division and two with AWK Consulting Engineers as a Survey Technician and a CAD Technician. Throughout these internships, Gordon was able to gain excellent experience with core boring logs, piles, and pile hammer cases, reviewing foundation reports, surveying, interpreting survey data, and AutoCAD. Since graduation, Gordon has been working as a Geotechnical Specialist, conducting drilling inspections, soil, and rock sampling, interpreting field boring data, technical report writing, and pre-construction site investigations.
Gordon’s hobbies include playing the drums and ice hockey, hiking, fishing, and following Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania sports teams!
Given his educational background, work experience, and a strong desire to learn and grow, Gordon will be a great asset to the Geotechnical team!
