PADEP Finalizes Trenchless Technology Guidance: ARM Group's Role in Advancing Sustainable Practices

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) has recently announced the finalization of the Trenchless Technology Guidance, a significant milestone in advancing sustainable practices in the state. Published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin and effective on February 24, 2024, this guidance document outlines the crucial steps and options to consider when proposing to use a trenchless technology installation method on any portion of a project.

At the forefront of this initiative is ARM Group, a significant contributor to the development of the guidance document. ARM Group played a pivotal role in shaping the policies and procedures outlined in the guidance. ARM was invited by the PADEP Secretary to join the HDD Stakeholder Workgroup due to our specialized expertise in geophysics, karst terranes, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). This invitation underscores ARM Group's dedication to driving positive environmental change. Collaborating with other stakeholders, this joint effort paved the way for a more sustainable future in Pennsylvania.
