ARM Acquires CAMCO & Affordable Equipment Co.

ARM Group Inc., headquartered in Hershey, PA,is excited to announce that it has acquired the assets of related companiesComplete Advanced Maintenance Co. (CAMCO) and Affordable Equipment Co. (AEC),both based in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. 

CAMCO was established in 1980, is comprisedof approximately 46 people, and focuses on testing and maintenance ofelectrical power systems, including circuit breakers, transformers, protectiverelay settings, high & low voltage switchgear, substation maintenance,testing, installation and much more.  CAMCO’scustomers include a wide-range of utility, industrial, commercial,transportation and institutional entities. 

AEC was established in 1990, is comprised of4 people, and primarily buys and sells used and hard-to-find electrical equipment,including specialty parts and breakers, across North America.  AEC’s core customers include power plants,transmission and distribution utilities, mining operations, andremanufacturers.    

The acquisition will provide CAMCO, AEC and theircustomers with additional resources and services, especially those provided byARM EnerTech Associates LLC (AETA), headquartered in nearby Johnstown,Pennsylvania.  AETA is a wholly-ownedsubsidiary of ARM that provides electrical, mechanical and automation engineeringand technical services that will strengthen CAMCO’s capabilities with respectto engineering services, power studies and automation.  In turn, CAMCO & AEC will allow AETA tooffer in-house electrical testing, repair services, and electrical fieldservices.  Additionally, ARM & AETA areeager to assist CAMCO’s and AEC’s existing customers by facilitating theoffering of a broad range of electrical engineering and automation services aswell as civil and environmental engineering, energy services, geophysics,geotechnical, water resources, natural resources, air quality, regulatorycompliance, quarry & mining services, and more. 

Sam Morello, P.E. will serve as the presidentof CAMCO and AEC.  Sam is a degreed electricalengineer and a registered professional engineer in numerous states.  He brings over 30 years of diverse experiencein the fields of industrial, utility and transportation electrical engineeringand technical services.
