ARM provided wireline geophysical logging services in Tioga County in Pennsylvania to support their natural gas well drilling and development operations in the Marcellus Shale formation:

High resolution optical televiewer logging:

  • Installed environmental test well to determine if mineable coal seam was present at proposed drill pad site.  One of ARM’s licensed professional geologists completed a detailed geologic drilling log.
  • ARM Geophysics’ wireline logging completed high-resolution optical televiewer (OPTV), gamma ray, fluid resistivity, normal resistivity, fluid temperature, and caliper logs.
  • Determined bedding plane and fracture orientation and dip angle.
  • Identified potentially mineable coal seam.
  • Successfully grouted and abandoned the environmental test well in accordance with PADEP guidelines.
