ARM provided a detailed hydrogeologic study, test well drilling oversight, and thermal conductivity testing services for a series of six individual 30-ton (1 Ton=12, 000 Btu/hr) ground source geothermal systems for the proposed Landis Retirement Community. ARM worked with the client’s contractor to develop preliminary plans for a closed- loop geothermal well field at the site. In addition, ARM provided geophysical consulting services that indicated the locations of specific areas at the site that were prone to sinkhole formation and potential drilling hazards. ARM’s completion report included a cost comparison of installing open-loop, closed-loop and standing-column systems at the site. The closed-loop geothermal system was completed in spring 2010.
