Solid Waste Engineer

Solid Waste Engineer – ARM is currently seeking a self-motivated senior-level solid waste engineering consultant. Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in solid waste planning; waste management facility design, permitting, and operations support; and construction oversight and certification. The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude, an “ownership mentality”, and establish client relationships, define client needs, develop winning strategies, prepare proposals and generate sales in the Mid-Atlantic region solid waste management and environmental markets, as well as promoting other ARM services.   Thorough knowledge and application of MD and VA solid waste regulations is highly desired.  Knowledge of PA, DE, and NJ solid waste regulations desired, but not required. 

Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects that produce comprehensive permitting and construction drawings and demonstrate proven sales and project management experience. A Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and PE license are required.  An MS degree is a plus.

Staff Engineers, Geologists and Scientists

Entry Level Staff Engineers, Geologists, and Scientists – Qualified candidates should have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences (MS preferred). Successful candidates must have proficient verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities, excellent computer skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.  Candidate must be comfortable with working in the field and possess strong documentation and report writing skills. Working knowledge of ArcGIS, Microsoft Access, or AutoCAD a plus. Some travel and overnight stay will be required.

Senior AutoCAD Designer

Senior AutoCAD Designer – Candidate should have 10 or more years of experience in drafting for civil engineering and /or surveying projects. Position will support a wide range of projects related to water resources, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control planning, geotechnical, construction administration, and permitting in support of the solid waste and oil & gas industries.  Qualified candidates must have proficient verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills, strong work ethic, adaptability and teamwork skills.  Candidate must have proven drafting presentation skills, must be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2014, or newer, and be able to efficiently generate grading plans, profiles, sections details, and quantity/volume calculations. Must have computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.  CAD Designer should be accustomed to completing work with limited supervision, on budget and within expected timeframes, and be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.  At a minimum, an AutoCAD Certificate is required.  An Associate Degree in Survey, Drafting, or Engineering is a plus.
