ARM EnerTech Associates, LLC (AETA) Assists Sheetz with Installation of Electric Car Charging Stations

Pennsylvania residents will now be heading to the gas station to fill up – on electricity.  AETA recently completed the installation of five electric vehicle charging stations at five of Sheetz Pennsylvania locations.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), these chargers are the first direct-current fast chargers installed in partnership with the Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants (AFIG) Program at service stations in Pennsylvania. As plug-in electric vehicle ownership expands, the need for publically-accessible charging stations grows, and Sheetz is providing leadership in this need.

The charger itself is manufactured by Eaton. AETA was responsible for installation at each facility, and integrated the car chargers into each store’s energy management system. The stations will support faster charging at higher voltage rates, which means the complete charge will only take approximately 25 to 30 minutes. The chargers are considered to be Level 3 chargers, which support Chademo connectors.

Sheetz installed the new charging stations in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Blairsville, Altoona, and State College, PA.
